Deer hunt
St James, LA
73F, cloudy with 5 mph NE winds
Mission xbow, 20” bolts tipped with 100 gr slick tricks.
At a co worker’s lease, sitting on a 16’ ladder stand on a pipeline with 3 bags of buck Burbon 20 yards to my left. Co worker has pics of 2 different 8 points eating on this bait pile. We shall see.

54 degrees with NE wind in NE AR. Sitting on a ridge with big white oaks. Just watched 4 big toms and a 4 pt just feed across a small clover plot about 100 yards down a haul road from me. Waiting on big mama doe to show up. Beautiful morning.

Area 2 Public, back at it
Mathews V3X 33; SEVR Hybrid 2.0
Platform and Saddle
Set up near a feed tree I scouted after my Sunday hunt. I had a big deer come at 5:40am and stayed until 6:10. I could see the silhouette but that's it. Another came in at 6 and left at the same time the other one did.
At a little after 7, the biggest fawn I've ever seen walked under me. Maybe I'm just itching to shoot something
. I watched it for about 20 minutes before it meandered off.
I got down around 10:30 and did some more scouting and found my next spot. We'll see if it's a winner next time.
