re: IST/ IBT: 12/19/19

Ended up hunting pretty much all day except from 12:30-1:55. Got down to go fill up feeders and shot a little pig while I was doing it. So I cleaned what was left of it and then got back in my stand. Right at dark I was able to kill one of the two mature bucks I was hunting. He’s only a 7pt but the length of his beams he should easily be 9/10. Something weird with our mature deer this year in that they basically have zero tine length. Passed on several bucks with better racks this am Bc they were too young.

Ended up seeing:

Two young 7s
Young 5
Nice 8 on neighboring property
7 does
15 turkeys
2 hogs

haha, no I shot it with my 257 wthby mag. 3,700fps at 60 yds.

I was going to make another thread about hunting with suppresors. When I hit that hog and deer you can hear the bullet sound like hitting a watermelon with a sledge hammer. I use one and have for years and its so much more enjoyable. I shot that buck and gave it 5 minutes to make sure he didnt move and the 2 does didn't leave the field and another 8 came in 2 min after.

When I walked up to get the pig it was laying on its other side. I thought "man i'd have thought there'd be more damage than that" then i flipped it over...
