Is fishing from Mandeville pier any good for kids this time of year?

Don't need to catch much but don't want to get shutout either. How about at the mouth of the Tchefuncte from the bank?

Due to the spillway I’d imagine the the fishing would be very poor right now.

That's what I was thinking as a possibility. Third years in a row, right? Is it still open? How long to recover, for any fishing around there, including Chef Pass and the Rigolets areas?
