I applaud you for your efforts to steer this little girl down the right path

I had an argument earlier where the chick said it's her right to know whether someone has a concealed handgun or not and that she would make decisions differently knowing someone had a concealed gun. I told her that we won't walk up to you, pull it out and wave it in your face. Didn't matter to her
That's the same kinda chick that doesn't bath on the reg, or shave her privates brah. Fact.

Thanks, but I'm not looking for any accolades...I've also gotten all of my 14yo sons friends to the range multiple times...but I'm sure it is always easier to get the boys to want to learn to shoot or if already shooting with their family, to teach them how to better their shooting skills.
Taking a kid fishing or shooting is one of the better(if not the best) lessons in life for a young man or woman...

most IMPORTANT question to ask:
Just ask "If you are in the process of being robbed/mugged/raped, and I come along with my concealed weapon, do you want me to use my weapon to assist you?"

She would likely say yes. Maybe not though. Who knows.
I work with a girl (who told us that she is not female, but that's another story) who made the comment that CCW holders "shoot up schools and buildings".
I don't bring my gun to work most of the time. But, I did tell her "if someone were to come in here shooting, I'm the one that you would want around". I don't discuss politics at work, but I had a hard time holding my tongue with her. I just mentioned the most famous mass shootings and mentioned that they happened in gun free zones.
It's an ignorant mindset that, unfortunately, will probably never change. I just told her about the background check process for a CC. After I told her all of the requirements, she said "well I couldn't get one anyway because I've had documented mental problems my whole life". I just thought to myself "no shite! you're a chick that thinks you're a man".
Some people are just ignorant. When I told her why I got a gun and my CC, I think she (or it, or they, or wtf ever she thinks she is) started to understand. I don't CC to wave a gun around. I have a legit reason for doing so.

In fact, I think 100% of them have been registered Democrats. None have been NRA members or CC permit holders. Those ignorant statements hold zero value in the real world.
Good on you for holding your ground and having a reasonable discussion, something that it seems like she isn't capable of.

Everyone of the recent mass shooters have been card carrying democrats or in the Columbine incident raised by them. This is a common theme that the good ole media leaves out. The Bundy ranch was swarmed with gun toting republicans and no one got shot. Imagine that.

I'm done talking to anti-gun people
It saves you time and energy. They don't chastise you for healthy dialogue.....they use debate to demonize you, knowing that they won't change your mind and that you won't change theirs.
If debate worked anymore, the prez wouldn't need a pen/paper or a phone.
With anything dealing with debate, I simply say:
I'm a white, straight, christian conservative. Apparently I only offend, so no use in talking to me about it.

You and Burge both just struck out.
I had two yanks from New York or Boston or something on our side after a night of drinking on Bourbon.
And they were chicks

i own 5 handguns and enjoy the sport of shooting. i would have no problem with gun control laws if they actual made a dent in the amount of crime/violence in society. the problem is they don't, as criminals disregard laws. it's a real inconvenience that as a resident of california i need to wait 10 days to acquire my new gun, as opposed to the local gang member(whom the strict laws are meant for) who buys one in a back alley.

Sorry. I'm in the Landmass this weekend and my friend took my phone from me. (Personal drama).
But yeah...I pointed this out to her/him/it/wtf ever...
The anti gun people don't see it this way, unfortunately. LEGAL GUN OWNERS SHOOT UP SCHOOLS!!! OMG!!

I tried.
The last sentence of the conversation started like this... "Have you ever had the person that you love more than anything turn on you and go psycho?" She said "no. I said, "deal with the shite that I'm dealing with right now, then you can question why I carry a gun with me everywhere I go except for work". She stfu after I explained my situation to her.
I would be better off beating my head against a wall than trying to make her understand shite.

The problem is, that these laws don't make a difference.
These laws, if anything, will prevent law abiding citizens from having the chance to defend themselves against one of these criminals, heroin addicts, or whatever.
But whatever. Hope and change.
It's stupidity. Criminals don't go through the background process to buy a gun. They don't go through the shite that we went through to lawfully get ours. They buy guns off of the street with the serial numbers scratched off or they steal them.

Agreed.
I would probably suck start the wrong end of my legally purchased firearm if I lived in that shite hole.
Or up north too.
I stay south of the Mason Dixon and far away from the left coast for a reason.
Eta. And I don't like East Coast or Yankees either.
