I'm looking for a new soft cooler. I already have a Yeti Tundra 45 (only keeps ice for 2 days max), therefore I want to give another brand a whirl.

I have researched and have came across Icemule. I'm looking at "The Boss", but haven't found substantial insight on them.

Anyone here own one? Satisfied?

What? I have Igloos (in the quad) that do better than that.

In fact, I had a small cooler (Igloo) in the back of my vehicle over the weekend. I had dropped a few beers and a half bag of ice in it last Wed evening. Was leaving the grocery on Sat and moved it to put a few bags in the back and heard the ice sloshing around. Opened it up and still had a lone beer left. Sat right there on the bumper and had a cold one in Rouse's parking lot. (Yep, trashy, DGAF)

I feel your pain. I've got a 20 and 65 and they do good if you cool them down before you put ice in them and keep them closed. They'll hold ice for several days. I've got a Hopper we take to the ballfields and itll hold ice a couple days regardless of how much its opened it seems

I have an ice mule and it’s fricking awesome. I wouldn’t expect to leave it in the beating sun and hold ice for 2 days though. On a really hot day it’ll make it the whole day but that’s about it. They’ll hold ice longer than that but there are stipulations like having it full of cold dry air, since air is the primary insulator with those things.

I love my IceMule for canoe trips compared to a hard sided cooler. The above statement is entirely true. On a hot summer day going down the Cahaba River for 9hrs, the ice will be gone when you are done. It'll still be cold, but it's not nearly as good as the hard sided coolers. However, it makes up for that in portability and weight.

Thanks for the info. I don't expect a soft cooler to keep ice for days, as most use for them would be a single outing. I love the backpack style to them. I was just referring to it's time to branch off from Yeti.

Anything more, I'd bring the Yeti. Hmm.. maybe my gaskets need to be changed out? Has anyone used those dry ice packets in with the ice and beers?
