Well. To be fair to me, I have done a week's worth of reading and reviews on youtube. I wanted to see if there was a clear cut above sort of choice for the same price. After I sorta learned the b&s motor had been reworked that was a convincing argument. It was a last minute effort to see if any of y'all had a sure-fire alternative.

did you not see the posters advice about his mower?
He's exactly right. Your spindles are non serviceable and will go bad within a 3 year period. They all do. The small hydrogear transmissions are more than the mower and it has 2 and they are non serviceable as well and will go bad.
The Snapper is not manufactured by MTD and has a fabricated steel deck and serviceable spindles.
I tried, as did others to try to help you but you had your mind made up.
Enjoy your MTD. But hey, you got dem arm rests

I simply didn't see the post in time.
I still have a return policy so I can at the least still learn about this. I don't even know wtf a spindle is. How on earth would a replacement transmission cost more to replace than the mower??

If my yard is less than an acre, flat as a pancake and no roots or weird shite to run over hon long would that transmission last?

depends on how you treat it. You mentioned hauling arse on it already so you're not breaking it in properly.

Lol. Fair enough. Well I'm not a kid... but I am a male. I had to see what it had ONCE.
I broke my bike in BY the book... and it was a 250 bitchbike, as you can imagine I was going SLOW for the first 300 freaking miles. If i can manage that I'll break in the mower as needed. Gonna change oil after the first cut and everything.
