Feliciana Tiger: I agree. I actually had to tell a guy to move off our line 2 years ago. He hung a climber on a tree on the fence line.

It was the northside of our property this pic is from the southside different land owners and they have plenty of land and only a few family members hunt but still I think people need to respect property lines...

Its a huge problem up here (and I imagine everywhere else). Parish ordinance says no hunting 50 yards from the property line and 100 yards from the center of a creek if that is the line. Cant tell you how many times ive seen shooting lanes cut on other peoples property. The stand itself will be legal but its obvious they are looking over on others property

That's a little harsh. All hunting or just firearms?

I thought West Feliciana was 50 yards from property line and 50 yards from natural moving water line on creeks? Are you in East or West Feliciana? East there are no laws belive it or not. My dad has a lease in EFL..

West, and funny thing is when you get to Thompson Creek. East side doesnt have a law but West does. These are parish ordinances and really arent enforced unless someone has a problem. 100 yards from center of a creek isnt bad. Some creeks are pretty wide in spots. Most people dont follow it and it never really is a problem unless someone has a stand facing into a creek. Makes it to tempting to shoot across where you dont know who is hunting where. If your stand faces your property its a little more forgiving

Where do you hunt in WFL? We are off of Hwy. 967 from Spillman Rd. and on one of the fingers of Thompson Creek.

I hunt off of 61 and the property backs up to the north fork of thompson creek. Your property is on the middle fork. I live near 967. Can probably hear you shoot from my house. Do ya"ll lease land or own it?

Long driveway, with a catchpen in front of a nice house? Pond across the driveway from the catchpen?

Then this deer did not come from there!

I do not have anything to worry about he will never lease that property as long as he is alive. He doesn't hunt but loves it up there just my brother in law and I hunt.

He is a very good man and for sure doesn't need the money so no reason for him to lease.. But I would have tried if I were you also..

Yea it was obvious that I dont have enough money to even try and make an offer. He said that he had a son in law that hunted it. Said ya'll waste time going in the woods. Can shoot as many deer as you want off that front porch

Fwiw, I wouldnt worry about offending the property owner to your north. I know those people and can almost guarantee they have some hunters there that would hunt your property line and property.

Yep, they are the ones I had to tell to back off. My FIL is always on his tractor and where their stand was could have easily have shot him by accident not to mention it just isn't right. I haven't seen them hunting this year though..

FIL is correct is saying you can kill deer from the porch as a matter of fact the place I saw this one is only about 300-400 yards from the house through the woods. I do not shoot anything unless it is a big buck my BIL(and his son) will shoot does and smaller bucks from time to time. I have no use to do so and might go 2-3 years with out killing one. I have been on a roll and killed a nice one 3 years in a row now hopefully I can make 4.

If you see my truck up there stop by and say hello. Silver 2011 F-150 4x4 Screw..
