We switched all our feeders to gravity feeders. This year we bought 5, 55 gallon drums for about $55.00 each at St. Gaberiel Hardware. Took them to R. Schexsniders in Erwinville and they filled up each 55 gallon drum with corn for $50.00 each! Each drum would hold about 9 bags of corn easily if not more. They also have lose soybeans YUGE Savings. We fill them at the beginning of the season half way and then all the way for second split. Gravity will help save some money so you are not feeding coons and hogs

The club I am in allows you to only hunt your stand, no climbers or moving around.

So basically once your season starts, you're stuck in one spot? Well, that sucks.

We feed all year including protein so yours seems cheap compared to our bill... it’s probably close to 5k. I could look it up but it might just piss me off. Several of the places around us have it delivered to their feeders. I’m not sure what that service costs.

Delta region of MS. 5300 acre lease 35 members. We plant some really nice plots but no corn or feeders. Ever. To my knowlege all the clubs around us Dont use corn. Something about the timber company. I see more deer here than anywhere Ive ever hunted.

But the timber company never clear cuts. They strategically select cut on 10% of the property on odd years. All hardwoods. In the 10 years I have been hunting there it has made for some great habitat. You have to do your homework, scout, cameras, stand placement but the deer are healthy and in numbers.

Usually a little over 300# per drum, so your 9 bag estimate is close. Lets say it's 350#. You paid $105 for each 350#. That's $15 per 50# sack. I hope you get 20 years usage out of each drum.
