Just an idea, if you can put it off a month you would be able to hike with the fall colors

Already taking the wife to visit her sister in Florida in November. Her sister lives about an hour away from my favorite mtb trails so it's all good.

I see episodes about missing people and serial killers, feral people etc all the time. Carry a gun

Alafia and Balm-Boyette. Santos is either too easy or too hard. I'm too old for the best part of Santos.

My questions are, can a dog take the much heat? Also, the dog will double or triple the amount of water needed, right? That dog will have to eat a ton of food to replace the calories it burns.

Balm is great, but that 1/2 mile of sugar sand to get in and out keeps me driving to Alafia almost every time. Check out Carter Rd if you haven't yet. Very different, fun, and strangely technical riding.

Florida Trail is great in Nov/Dec also with all the birds migrated south. You will see as much wildlife on it as any trail.

Tried it, didn't know "wrong way Wednesday", got tired of aholes yelling at me. Rode some of Croom, was wet so the limestone was SLICK. Other trail I've ridden is Mt Dora, which is a cool little trail that I did to kill some time after paddling King's Landing.

That sucks. Most MTB around here usually aren't like that. Croom is good, if you want lots of XC. Drunken Monkey at Croom is fun, but the rest is just for putting in miles.

Thinking of trying the Hurracan 300 one of these days.
