Especially for those that get a shotgun for HD because "they don't want to have to aim in a high pressure situation."

Really glad this was brought up. I think people lose sight of this, even experienced shooters sometimes don't realize how condensed that spread is at close range

Punny!

I like 12 gauge because the shot pattern is larger. Although I still have to aim, I feel I have a greater chance of connecting if I'm slinging out an ounce of buckshot versus .22" of 50-75 grains.

not intended

Not going to disagree, I would rather the extra rounds though. Especially now, until I can get mag extensions on my 870 and a light source.

Agreed. If my AR were a 16" it may be my first HD choice since you get more rounds and follow-up shots are quicker. But mine is a 20" with a heavy barrel and a 12 power scope. It isn't really the ideal HD setup.

Also agree. I just have the standard 4 round mag tube so I got 5 but I'm comfortable with it.

I do advocate for a light source though and I like that you mentioned it. I need to get another TLR-1s for my 870.

Thats why I got a pinned 14.5 with a Surefire and Aimpoint and now working on an SPR with an 18" barrel.

TLR-1s for the 870? I will look into that

AR15 wins big. No shite. When my attackers agree to come in only pairs, I'll get a Bidengun.

A guy at a police vendor told me the other day that Streamlight actually upgraded the output of all their lights too. So now the TLR-1s is way over the original 180 lumens. Mine is a 180 and it is bright as hell.

I can't even imagine how much brighter the new ones are but I thought about calling the company and seeing if they would do a trade-in and let me pay the difference. I heard Streamlight is great to work with.

Probably just a lens change. Well, maybe. Worth looking into.

Pffft, Biden would just say something like "See, see how that shotgun blew up them soda bottles! Told you all you need is a shotgun!"
