They moved to thick cover. That property isn't holding deer. It's just a feeding area for them. It takes a few years for them to come back from what I've seen at our lease.

With a small property, a good plan is to hunt it from the outside in. If possible, make the core of the property a sanctuary.
A major problem with a small property is that shot deer will often end up on your neighbors.
