A lot guys who shoot 1911's really well have trouble transitioning to Glocks.... IMO 1911's help compensate for sbooters bad habits due to them being very naturally accurate guns. They put a Glock in their hand and see groups increase in size due to poor fundamentals.

I really hope I just can't detect sarcasm right now and he's not serious.

Do you deny that most 1911's are naturally going to have better triggers and be more accurate in most shooters hands then a glock? A single action 1911 is going to help average shooters compensate for poor fundamentals that a glock will expose... Just my opinion

Wouldn't the opposite be true? Wouldn't the shitty triggers and bad ergonomics make good shooters slightly worse?

I'm saying I could shoot my old glock 23 as good as the 1911 in my avatar or my smith model 19. The glock just wasn't comfortable to me, because of shitty ergonomics, not shitty fundamentals.

I know it's not the platform that makes me shoot better.

I've had to qualify with the M9, a platform I absolutely can't stand and hardly ever shoot on my own, and I still qualified expert.

The ergonomics leave much to be desired IMO.

Yes and it makes average shooters shoot like crap and they blame it more on the gun then the shooter

So then it truly is the platform and not the shooter by your own logic.

Ill be the first to say I'm not the best shooter in the world, but it ain't the gun. I shoot every platform about the same.

if you can shoot well you can shoot well, when people say that glocks aren't accurate they are mistaken, and i'd be willing to bet that the glock is more accurate than they'll ever be.

a glocks accuracy will still out shoot most shooters

I think in exceptional shooters the trigger and ergo doesn't matter much... Whereas in your average guy at the range in means a lot

I think I can see what you're saying.

I know the differences in my accuracy between platforms is pretty minuscule. It's probably only obvious to me since I'm the one standing behind the gun.

I agree with all of this... I think I'm able to clearly state my point for some reason tonight I consider myself an above average shooter and all my glocks, with maybe the exception of the 26, will outshoot me all day long
