Have only been to this lake twice durning the spring. Anyone been lately? I’d assume early morning fish should be shallow then they’d move deeper as sun comes up.
Any pointers is appreciated. Thanks

This used to be my go to technique on the lake I fish. It worked when nothing else would.
Unfortunately, for the pass couple of years, not so much.
Talked to a biologist a couple of weeks ago. He told me the lake is full of fish with a very healthy population of 7 & 8 lbers. With tons of forage. In fact, the lake has so much fish in it that they decided not to restock it this year. They usually dump about 40,000 fingerlings every year.
I don't know what the deal is.

If you like fishing at night id give that a try. Texas rigged worm and I catch them slow rolling a big spinner bait with a colorado blade. Don't know if you are gonna crappie fish or not but there are some huge crappie in there. Fish deep brush piles, tons of them in that lake.
