You will have a blast the first year you go and then you kinda learn the show up there. The ducks are stupid, and are limit dummies to many guides up there. Try and get an upland bird hunt for mid to late afternoon. Nothing better than jump shooting Partridge and Sharptail grouse around the house lots. We had more fun doing that than anything.

As mentioned, never shoot the Canadians, shoot the Canadas, guides take offense sometimes.

Alcohol and shotgun shells are very expensive. The food is very bland but they have the best jellies/jams in the world.

We always flew into Regina and hunted towards Moose Jaw, based out of Lang. Canadians do not get in hurry so don't get in a hurry, and they will be very helpful and friendly.

I know you are being sarcastic to someone else...

However if you read about the habitat and ducks killed in Venice PRE Betsy....

The marsh was a floatant marsh and the primary duck PRE Betsy was a mallard. When Betsy came she rolled up all the floatant marsh and make it look more like what we see today and the mallards slowly started going elsewhere. You still had lots of open water like what Venice is known for you just had a different type of duck and different habitat. Not a lot of people know about that it's why I share the info.
