I know a guy that is in one. The family that owns the land is real religious and forbid tobacco, drinking, and secular music.

Before sunrise and afterwards, I completely unload my gun.
Mid day, I usually chamber one, until I get ready to climb into the stand.
I prefer not to use 4-wheelers, but the times that I have I'll unload completely.

I'm not sure 140" bucks are worth that. There's no reason to bring kids if they can't go get a beer out the icechest for you.

no loaded guns until you get "in" your stand. Unload before you come back to camp.
