Shot in the dark here but if you are familiar with this outfit, recommend or pass?

https://www.outerlimitcharters.com/

Any additional guide/feedback re: Tuna/Mahi trips would be great. First time offshore in the Louisiana Gulf.

I didn't have the worst experience with Outer Limit, but I wouldn't care to go out with him again.

I recommend Mexican Gulf Fishing Company.

https://tmgfc.com/

Top of the line charter business.

Reel peace got slammed on here pretty hard last time someone asked about a Charter out of Venice.

I had a buddy go with them about 2-3 weeks ago and said he came back impressed. Caught a few 60-70# blackfin, but no yellow fins.

One last question, Outer Limits has a Lump Fishing link for Dec-March. Night trip.

Anyone familiar with the Lump and is is worth it? Very intrigued actually.

A 60-70 lb. blackfin would probaly be a North American record, if not a world record, don't feel like googling it.

Maybe you meant that they caught a few yellowfin, but no bluefin.

I actually went on a trip with these guys a few weeks ago. Capt. Trey Pique runs the outfit now. I think he bought out Kerry Milano. Pretty young guy but seemed to know his stuff pretty well. Caught some really nice snapper and some good yellowfin. One went about 90 lbs. He seems pretty straight forward. Didn't try to bs us about anything. I would go back with him again.

Is he from Grand Chenier? If it's who I think he had a nice palamino bull-doggin horse. He rodeoed for McNeese too but a lot of guys on the PRCA trail rode his horse.

These are some good guys, but as others have said, lots of good charters down there.
