I live and Baton Rouge and would like to take my boat and fish for a day or two by Grand Isle. What can some of you tell me about the places to spend a night or two down there. Been to Boudreaux's in Leeville and a place like that would be fine for a night or two for a fishing trip. I have a 17.5 foot aluminum and would like to fish in protected areas around Caminada Pass, etc. Any suggestions for places to stay and fish by Grand Isle would be greatly appreciated since I don't know the area too well. Thanks!

You want a whole camp or just a room?

I always liked going with a group and having a whole camp

It would be just me and my father-in-law so a room for a place to crash for a night would be all we'd need.

I found the Bridge Marina and the Sand Dollar motel - basic fish camp type settings. Wondering if anyone has been there or have other suggestions for one or two nights.

Bridgeside would be good for what you need. We rent one of the trailers every year

According to yelp or tripadvisor, Cajun Holiday Inn Motel had the best reviews as far as cleanliness of rooms; we stayed in a room last week and it wasn't to shabby.

I don't know if they have any openings but I've stayed at Edgewater. on the beach, middle of the island.

I would get a room pretty quick, once the rodeos start it will be next to impossible to find a room.

Ricky's motel is also very similar to Boudreauxs. They also have a lit fishing pier for some night fishing.

My memory of that place was a sign in the room that read:

"No Boat Motors in the Room"
