I've got one that was running rough when it was put up, then the guy that had it at the time put the cables on the battery backwards and didn't realize it and then it stayed like that for probably six months.

We put new spark plugs and wires on it. One or the wires was broken. It gets spark, it gets fuel, it will not start. I assumed that he'd melted down the ECM so I bought a new one, but it changed nothing. The fuel is fine. The tank and pump were changed before this started.

What am I missing here?

Not that I'm aware of. Just a key. And we went through that first. It's fine.

Can you hear the fuel pump prime up when you turn the key? Check to see it you have 12 volts at the pump

It's got fuel. Strong. Pump is practically new. Got changed with the tank.

That I do not. But it was significant when tested.

Behold! I have stumped the Outdoor board.

Looks like I'm gonna have to freeze hell and take it to the polaris people to figure out their necromancy. This is against everything I claim to stand for in cool weather.

If your getting air, good fuel and a hot spark, it’s either timing or compression related. Disable the fuel pump and spray some starting fluid in the intake to see if it pops off. If it doesn’t start up, the next step is checking for a good spark and then running a compression check.

Water in fuel or jumped time would be my guess.

Yeah, I’d check the timing for sure. If it has the stock cam chain tensioner that works off of oil pressure it’s been known to cause the timing to jump, especially if someone hit the gas before the oil pressure built up. Mine would rattle for the first 15-20 seconds after starting so I put a mechanical one in it and fixed that. Mine was a fuel injected 900 rzr and the injectors got clogged after it sat up for a couple months. Started running bad and then wouldn’t start. When I pulled them out there wasn’t much flowing through them. I blew through the injectors with compressed air until they flowed. Started and ran fine after that. Not sure if blowing air through them is the best method but it worked for me.

Thanks! I'll give that a try.
