Got a decent ammo deal today at Wally

Not great but decent. Out here in the country, WalMart is nearly the only option unless I want to drive 25 miles to the nearest Super 1 for groceries.
Was browsing the sporting goods section and noticed several 100 round boxes of Winchester .22 - 40 grain, perfect for plinking. Just under $8.00 per box, picked up my limit of 3.
Then I notice a bunch of boxes of WWB .308 FMJ, marked down from $23.00 to $11.00 per box, so I picked up 3 of them. I just might go tomorrow to pick up the rest of the .308. Not quite as good a deal as ZQI, but not bad.
I don't think this is a nationwide sale, I think the stuff just wasn't moving. Most people prefer soft point hunting ammo around here, I guess.
It was encouraging to see .22 on the shelves, I've seen it on and off again a few times in the past year. Before that it had not been available at all since Dec. 2012.
Anyone else noticing any deals or better availability?

I bought 3 federal 5.56 62 gr m885 120 rounds for $49.99 at Walmart a few weeks ago. They also had a ton of cci mini mag available. Forgot what the price on those where. Prior to that I had only seen pistol ammo and shotgun shells.

They carry a brand named Perfecta, nationwide i believe, that is really good value, imo. Non-reloads, brass shells. 9mm are only $9 a box, .380 is $14, and everything else is just as cheap in relation to the average box of fmj winchester. I've put 250 rounds of it, or more, through my guns. Stuff is great ammo..I highly reccomend it for plinking.

I can tell you Academy has really picked up having 22lr on the shelves constantly over the last month. Some blocks, some 50 packs, various brands. Seems the 22lr stock is trending up for sure.
