I use the educator mini. No regrets.

Been training longer than I care to remember. I use a Garmin 550. Consistent, reliable, and give you more than enough stimulus options. Also has a bark collar feature that comes in handy.

I use it pretty much every time we go outside. Use the vibrate mode first and you may never need to use the shock feature. Eventually, you'll get to where you only need to use the beep feature.

Garmin Sport Pro is what I use.

Used sportdog 425 for 3 yrs and it just went out on me. I got a garmin sport pro and absolutely love it and all its features. For the price, its hands down the best ive used. This is without navigation fyi

I like the Garmin Sport Pro for my lab. Has a beep and vibrate button and a bright bulb on the collar that can be useful at night or early mornings. Dont think you can go wrong with Garmin or Dogtra

I went with garmin sport pro over dogtra because of dogtra having the digital screen. Just somethn to tear up when beat around, dropped, or moisture get in. Garmin much more rugged

The vibrate mode gets my dogs attention more than the shock But I dont ever turn it up past level 4. Usually 2-3 is enough just to get a reaction

I’m impressed with my garmin tritronics. I have the sport pro and pro 550. The lighted collars are a great feature too. I used to use sport dog and it was ok, but inconsistent. Collars are a great tool if used properly. I hope you’re not planning on trying to stop food aggression with a collar though. Aggressive behavior is nothing to mess with and if it’s not fixed early and quickly it will be very difficult to fix. I wouldn’t hesitate for a second to seek professional help if you don’t see improvement with training.
