Fishing Spots - Houston/Tomball

Any of you know some nice spots in the area? Not an avid fisher at all, but got a rod and reel for Christmas. I'd prefer it not to become a wall/corner of my mancave ornament, so any local spots and tips are greatly appreciated.

Used to be able to fish at hooks airport pond if you asked permission. Maybe call them and check.

They got plenty of tanks/reservoirs along 99 you could try. I personally haven't but I see people fishing them...I also saw a game warden on one of them last week too.

I used to fish abunch of neighborhood ponds around Tomball but they all seem to have their gates closed these days.

There are a bunch of ponds around the woodlands you can fish in.
