Between Mississippi and Florida panhandle, i've done the best with spoons (silver or gold) and soft plastics... usually around a beach outlet when the water is moving well

Some of my biggest trout have been caught during a fast tide and with a spoon... ive also seen someone catch a 26" trout on a voodoo shrimp (mid day) in a sandbar trough with zero tidal movement... confused the hell out of me

As for Florida fishing... early morning, late evening, in the trough, with a spoon, soft plastic, or cut bait
