Fishing in Bayou Manchac?

Have any of you fished the lower end of Bayou Manchac near to where it dumps into the Amite? If so, what did you catch?

There's a shite-ton of gar in Manchac, too.

Ida did a lot of damage to the fish there. Evening tournaments are winning with 1.5 to 4 lbs.
