can you do it? I like taking my kayak there but I've never thought about going during hunting season. first off are you allowed during hunting season? if so, is it safe and worth it?

thanks.

ok thanks. i'll try to find it online for confirmation. was hoping it would be open and safe because I'm sure the grass is minimal this time of year.

Yeah I'm sure one could hammer them in the fall depending on the water level.

It would be nice if they made it to where you could at least fish in the afternoon. That's how they do it at Lake Martin. Although, they really can't stop people from fishing in the mornings at Lake Martin during waterfowl seasons. But they ask you not to, and it wouldn't be that smart.

Yeah, the pool closed oct 15th, i think, and the burns closed sept 15th, if im not mistaken. I plan on getting a permit for the burns next year.

What exactly is lacassine pool? I had a guy in field and stream telling me I need to go there because I have a gator tail and I can get up in the grassy areas but I can't figure out where it is exactly. Even on the map in the link posted above there's no area called the pool. Is it technically grand lake in lacassine and people just call it the pool?

No doubt. There isnt many advantages to,having a boat the size of mine. The Pool and the Burns are definitely two.
