Fishing at the Bonnabel boat launch

I had no idea people fish off the bank at the boat launch. Saw people out there yesterday fishing off of the bank out where the launch ends and the lake starts and also off of the pier.
Two of the people out there that I talked to said they catch redfish, specks, catfish, and even bass out there.
Has anyone ever had any luck out there?

ya, same thing at the William's boat launch, anything you can catch in the lake can be caught anywhere you can throw your line into the water

During my youth, I use to catch lots of sharks and giant gar behind Jefferson Downs. We'd take turns watching the ponies run down the backstretch, and tending to the Penn 209 mounted on an Ugly Stick
