Thanks.
Studies of melanomas are interesting. Sun exposure is the most publicized factor implicated - which is unfortunate because lack of Vit D3 is just as bad.
Other suspected influences (just as much as UV exposure) are genetic susceptibility and number of moles located in the affected quadrant.

My dad is a derm and a huge fly fisherman, as am I
He covers up like a mofo whether we are in Maine or Glorida.
He puts on a certain type of sunscreen every time and wears gloves too
He actually doesnt bitch at me too much about covering up
Guess I know someone who can cut the skin cancers off for me

There are vids of people (youtube) in that stage. One was a former marine who was diagnosed in Afghanistan. Its an absolutely horrible way to die and since my old friend died I have been terrified of any spot on my body.

I hope he takes a heaping daily dose of Vitamin D3.

My stepdad help me realize it's serious. He had some small sections cut out of his ears. Came out negative but it makes you realize you need to treat your body well.

My dad had cancer cut off of his face and nose. His free time outside was always at the fishing camp. Now he always wears sunblock and a hat. It is serious and can happen to anyone.
