FWIW adding to the dangers of Decade... it has TONS of hydrilla in late summer. The currents and winds move it all over the place. It can hide hazards like logs, debris, crab trap floats, broken off piles, etc. When I was out there this past summer people were doing 50mph right through it. We got a crab trap bouy good one time and slowed down to dodge hydrilla but others hauled arse.

Oh that we could all go doing what we enjoy and brought us happiness. Glad he didn't suffer or struggle. Reminds me of my neighbor. Crawled off of his tractor, had a heart attack and died surrounded by his cattle. Don't know that he'd have wanted it any other way.

I believe you mean water hyacinths, and this was the worst year ever for those damn things
