Fence pricing, does this seem high?

130 ft of shadowbox, treated pine, 2 small gates, $2,280
148 ft of black vinyl chain link, 5 ft tall, $1,585.
The chain link price seems fine to me, the wood seems a bit high.
I know, do it myself, but about 75% of this will be through the woods behind the house and I really don't feel like digging holes in the woods for a day.

Seems right in line with pricing I had gotten back in 2007. They were getting $15-25/ft not including specialty gates or anything for cedar fence and that was 10 yrs ago. I have no idea about the chain link...

Price seems right. Material is $10/LF just for fence.

$17.50 per ft including gates is a good price.

Oh and fyi, because of how they are typically constructed, shadowbox fencing tends to sag in about a year. Unless blocks under the center of each bottom rail or bracing is added for extra support. The 3 horizontal 2x4s rails laid flat just doesn't have any strength over time.
I don't know about you but a fence that sags from post to post is an awful sight.

That's a damn good price for a shadowbox fence with 2 gates.

Kinda handcuffed on the style of the fence. Neighbors started the shadowbox, black vinyl chain link trend and want to match it so it looks uniform.
Will be wood upfront, then chain link as it goes into the woods.
Have another company coming out Thursday to give a quote, I just had no idea what is a good price for it.

I should probably retract my previous comment about shadowbox sagging. While it is true that when constructed with 2x4 rails laid flat leads to sagging, most shadow box isn't built that way. I was going off the ones built in my immediate area that are sagging. Probably done by the same inexperienced fence builder. When rails are placed verticle (typical) then the issue of sag is greatly reduced.
If I had to guess I'd say the next quote you get will be a bit higher though.

I got quotes from $17-$18 per LF last year for a 6 ft treated pine fence with no gates. That price seems low for shadowbox and 2 gates. Not sure about the chain link. I ended up doing it myself for less than $10/LF.

$10.70 a foot
I don't think those are bad prices at all honestly.
