You just have to go in knowing exactly what you want, and tell them it's for a business to get the discount

Ya, i knew what i wanted, problem was all their screws and fasteners were all jacked up and I couldnt find it.

I found one size, but really needed a couple different sizes.

Anyways, got my new rifle action and realized that chassis i got used didnt have action screws. Just needed a long one to cut down to the right size. Im just mad I didnt get to mess with my new toys tonight.

They lots of construction stuff and lots of fasteners.

If they have employees that know whats up its a lifesaver sometimes.

This one had two girls working that looked like they could give two shits if the place stayed open.

There was a redheaded guy that worked at the one in Harahan. He was our rep at my old shop. He is good buds with my cousin in Mandeville, so I'm surprised he hasn't moved up there. He's a nice dude, and knows his stuff.

Very odd the store looked like shite. Call the manager/owner and complain

In the hardware business what keeps people coming back over HomeDepot and Lowes is service.

You do this buy engaging customers, trying to help customers, build the trust, and keep a clean store.
If people know they come to my place and can find what they want along with getting in and out quick I will have customers for life. My employees make a bonus and outside guys a commission. If a customer comes in and the store does not have it, but my repair shop does. They offer for the guy to pay for it at my store and drive 20 minutes to get it if they need the part today. We can deliver to the store next day no charge for shipping. We always have a guy driving between the store and shop to deliver stuff. That is what keeps customers coming back.

If they keep up a sloppy store and they have employees that do not engage customers that is a recipe for disaster.

They make their money on supply bolt bins and specific bolts for plants and construction. Retail sales really do not account for much of their business because the money making products are being sold to specific customers and regular intervals.

>99% of their sales are commercial contracts. You can either call them and order stuff, or they will go to the customer, check what they need, and order it. If you go to any small to medium sized shop, you'll probably see the blue sets of pull-out drawers holding their stuff.

That's also why when you go, you have to buy an entire bag of bolts instead of singles
