Sitting on my back porch enjoying my morning coffee and one of these little guys comes rolling by pushing his poop ball.
Never seen one in action but I gotta say I’m pretty impressed. After a little research come to find out that they can push around something 1,000 times their weight. Roughly the equivalent of me pushing six fully loaded semi’s.

Ain’t that some shite…

( Edit…I guess his walk-in music would be “They see me ROLLING….”)

:)

I used to see them a bunch when I allowed my neighbor's cows and horses in my pasture. I always figured I'd find a pile of shite balls somewhere in the field one day, like a squirrels stash of acorns, but i never did

Yall ever followed one to figure out where hes going with his treasure? I always say I will but I never see one when I have time for it.

For some reason I thought these only existed in Africa.

I was amazed at how many I saw one evening last summer at Pedernales State Park outside Austin. I noticed one pushing a little turd ball across the trial. Then I realized there were dozens, all with a similar sized there ball and all going in the same direction. It made me happy to see for some reason.

10-15 minutes is probably my max investment. I'd try to scope out the scene in front of the direction they'd be traveling, but they're not fast when pushing a ball... and my dogs picked up on being distracted and would occasionally exploit that by making a break for it. Took plenty of 3-5 second video clips to send friends
