had a charter today out of Jugs Landing. after a couple of hours and only 20 trout or so we were ticketed by LDWF for fishing in closed Federal Waters. I had previously cancelled this trip twice because of closures. my guide called last week and told us everything is open and fish are there. the agents told us we should not trust guides and are just as responsible for knowing. just do not understand why state agents are out writing tickets in federal waters. one of the agents was from rapides parish and was down in houma for the weekend just to write tickets.

at the pickets. Read at least 6 post on louisiana sportsman of people catching fish there all week. There is a large local fishing tournament this weekend so I figure that's what brought them out.

I fish the du on the reg...its been a tough summer for the trout this summer. We had a bad winter and a lot of freshwater pushed in. Every time I have gone down this summer I stayed on the inside to bust up some reds. Early summer I went out the the island twice with live minnows and got skunked both times. Things should be a lot better in the fall when these trout move into Mechant.

Bad guess Face not BillLake he's known for weeks that guides have been running trips out there.He's stayed inside for the most part fishing reds.Don't guess on an open forum and look like an idiot.Better to STF up and let us assume you are...........
