The first time my brother-in-law went hunting on his on he was at the boat ramp with the ducks he had shot and this guy comes up to him and looks at his ducks. He says what are you going to do with that particular duck and my brother-in-law said he was going to clean it with the rest of them and the guy asked if he could have it. Brother-in-law said sure because he said it was one ugly looking duck. He asked the guy what it was and he told him it was an albino pintail. The guy was a local taxidermist and he wanted it to mount.

I have killed a bunch of big bull Cans.
I ahve only killed 2 drake pintails in my life.
I love the big beautiful bird.
I need to mount some this season. I do not have a duck mounted, yet they are so beautiful.

I killed my first redhead two seasons ago and had it mounted. I would mount a pintail or greenie if I had the chance. Mostly greys where I hunt at.

have a drake mallard and GW teal mounted already, got a drake wigeon in the freezer waiting to be mounted...i'd really like to get a drake woody or drake pintail this year

I got my first pintail last year and he was a beauty. At the taxidermist now and stoked to get him back.
I killed a bull gadwall last year that was old old. Had beautiful color on his back and just aweasome looking bird. My friend took it to mount.

OP- I have never mounted one but I need to. My business partner has his office full of ducks.
I really want to mount male/female pairs. I like to see the differences and use them to teach my boys.
Pintail, and woodies will likely be my first mounts.
My very first duck hunt I shot a hooded merganser which would have been a great mount but not knowing any better I ate that fishy son of bitch.

I really want to get a good bull pintail. Only killed a couple of them and neither was good enough to mount.
I have a drake and a hen Black duck mount that is pretty cool. They are the only things i've ever had mounted.

Don't have a mount, but I had a woodie last year that I should have kept and mounted. It's just a pain in the arse caring for the bird while hunting and transporting. I'll try and post a pic later.
