Don't go to Doug's it is a real shite show. You may have a good experience but I have heard some real shite stories from people that have used them in the past.

I use them every year with no problems and find them to be very well run and highly recommend their service.

I know several people who go to Doug's a couple of times a year and are always happy.

I went with these guys last year and highly recommend them if you are looking for a goose hunt only. They specialize in calling Specks to bring them in right in front of your face, so we never had to do any "sky blasting". Very nice hunting setup, but no lodging.

Yeah Doug is a first class douche he doesn't care if he puts you on birds all he cares about is money. He leases land all over BFE . I know a guy that paid to conservation hunt. Drive fom church point arive at Doug's didnt have a guide got back in a truck and drive back to Church point 5 minutes from where he lived and had to help set out 500 rags and didnt see a fricking goose. That's not how you run a top notch guide service. Doug's sucks

Doug will take care of his regulars but don't expect much if you don't hunt with him multiple times a year

Thanks for all the advise and recommendations. I'm in BR and just looking for something south of I-10. However, I think I'm going to plan a guys trip to Habital Flats for next year. That place looks awesome. Much appreciated!

Only guided hunts I've been on in Louisiana were at Grosse Savanne Lodge which is south of Lake Charles. Its hard to get on their list due to large amount of corporate groups that get first right of refusal to the same dates year after year, but they may have a day or two to fit you in. Lodge is amazing and they have access to roughly 15k acres of private marsh and 35k acres of ag fields. I've been on two separate 3-day trips and both were great. We killed limits of ducks in the am and caught limits of redfish in the afternoon. The food their chef prepares is awesome...just a great experience all the way around. As is the case with some of these others, it isn't inexpensive but if you're going to go all out on the full experience where you stay in their lodge I'd give it some consideration.
