Dog Wormers: Opinions needed

What is everyone's go to? I haven't given my dog a wormer in the last year but she just got her annual vaccines and check up last week and I wanted to try something different than the Heartgard Plus I had given her previously.
After not giving it to her last year, I think I came to the conclusion that it would give her this side effect rash once or twice a year (that I would have to bring her in for cortisone shots to clear up at the same or more price of the annual visit cost) that she didn't get this year. TIA
8.5yo 17-20# Dachshund btw

I use proheart. It’s given every 6 months.

I've been giving it to my dogs for about 10 years and they have never failed a worm test. The old vet i go to asked what I give them and he said keep it up because he couldn't sell me anything cheaper than that
make sure it isn't ivermectin+ and don't inject it, just spray it over their food or inject it in to a hot dog

We use Sentinel for our dogs. I stopped using Heart Guard when one of my labs actually tested positive for heart worms after being on that particular preventative.

I pull it in a syringe and squirt it on a piece of bread. They scarf it before they get to the dog food.

Yep. Cost me a bunch of money to save my dog's life, but I'm glad I caught it early. She ended up dying years later of cancer that spread to her brain.

For heartworms preventions-Ivermec
For regular worms in dogs-Equimex-horse paste
Been using these on dogs for over 40 years-no problems.
Even use these on wife's phoo-phoo 11 lb. dog
