I am by no means a boat expert but we have a 24ft Bluewave Bay Boat. It does everything we need it to do. We fish out of it and pull people around on a tube (have not tried to ski behind it yet). The only problem we have but do not really care, is when we are cruising there aren't many cushioned places to sit. There are many more people on this board that have more experience with different boats but I think a bay boat can do anything you want to do.

100%. Get you a 22-24ft bay boat with a reliable 4 stroke. No need for anything crazy to start. A bay boat allows you to fish - while also doing tubing, skiing, etc and gives room for women to lay on front deck and tan etc.
I've seen too many ppl buy pleasure cruisers bc its "more comfortable" with wife - then it turns out the wife is never on the boat except going to and from the sandbar/restaurant etc where she immediately jumps in water and goes to beach.
IMO a 22-24ft bay boat is your most versatile boat.

Thanks. Does 25k include dock lifts and how big is it? Would it be plausible to build the stilts and put a prefabricated home on top of it and build deck out from there? Like clayton homes or similar. My place is more nola east.

No lift, 55 feet of bulkhead and a dock that is 5 feet by 55 feet. Not sure if you putting a trailer on pilings.

Got it. This is good stuff for folks like me getting back into boating and things into retirement. Gonna up the budget to $50k on boat so I don’t have to buy again in 5 years. I’ll explain it’s for wife’s benefit.

Sorry bruh, Mississippi is full. We appreciate your interest. Well let you know when someone passes away!

not much available on the water for less than 300k. Hell go to zillow and there are plenty homes available, most 300k plus that are not moving. market is stuck, if you can afford a 300k home you doing good, if you can afford a second home for 300k you doing great. Mississippi got their shite together, no mobile homes or lots to park an RV in the Bay or the Pass. they also have some beautiful public boat launches.
