I have shot the Aguila. It's good, but needs a longer barrel. Within 25 yards it's fine. After that I've noticed key holing.
I've had better results with the CCI

Audible difference between 700 and 900 as well. Logically a round with less powder will be less loud. Hence my hunt for the quietest.

Best a advce is to buy a few 50 rds boxes of several brands and try it out. There are too many variables on what you’re after like, gun type, barrel length and action type. Also what’s quiet to me may not be for you.

What Squirrelmeister said.
My first post. Because I actually know something about a topic for once: CCI standard velocity 38 and 40, solid and hps (not for meat, they actually will fragment in small game and not exit at times). Everything from Cz455 cut to 16.25 bull barrel, Ruger American cut to 16.25, several 10/22s, including Paclite, AR SBR dedicated .22 upper 5.5, MkIIs, MkII 4.5 PacLite, SR22, etc. All stay subsonic for me. All as close to 100% function as a .22LR can be as dirty as it is, particularly suppressed. I like a rd that works in all of these. I like a rd that gives me the most I can get out of a .22LR without sonic crack and .22LR reliable semi function. Aguila subsonic won’t in all and the 60gr. I would worry about stabilization and baffle strike in a short(er) barrel. I run 4.5, to 5.5, to 9, to 16.25, to 18 barrels, from semis with port noise to bolts without. Caveat: upon pain of public rebuke for OT response, my goal is not the slowest and most underpowered I can run that will still cycle something. My goal is the fastest, most energy, most consistent (accurate) I can run without sonic crack. There are so many variables in suppressed, from rd, to barrel, to blast chamber, to baffle design, to firearm (some suppressors work better on pistols, some better on rifles), to acoustics of where you shoot. Metered Dbs can be variable from what the ear perceives, i.e., actual sound. I’ve run lower metering db cans that “sound” louder than higher db cans. If you want quieter than a pellet gun, run suppressed .22 shorts in a bull barrel 22” bolt gun. If you have the time and patience and want custom tailored quiet in a semi, get a bunch of different springs and a bunch of different .22LR standard velocity and SS rounds and start experimenting infinitum seeking that perfect sweet spot that probably won’t work for other firearms. Most people generally cannot tell subtle differences despite claims to the contrary on forums. (see, e.g., “sub moa” discussions)

The CCI quiets sound identical to me as the CCI standard velocity (that remain subsonic). The action cycling and the bullet hitting the target are all I can hear either way.
I’m picturing a quarter acre yard with a fence in a planned neighborhood. What the hell are you doing shooting rats? What kind of place do you live where there’s enough rats to just outside and shoot them?
You might want to invest in a couple of cats.

IMHO, also shouldn’t be skipping .22s off the ground and concrete in suburbia shooting rats. It’s still a .22LR. Even subsonic it’s got enough energy to zip through a privacy fence and do damage.

I have a HK MP5 22, suppressed. I've run CCI Quiet that say 710 fps and they wont cycle. Federal "Suppressor" run 970 fps and DO cycle. Is there anything in-between ? Trying to get as quiet as possible and still cycle.
Also, there’s more to this equation than the round. As you know. .22LRs are blowback so a reduced power recoil spring could make a difference. The problem with cutting coils and such is that a .22LR is also filthy because it’s blowback, which means filthier suppressed. That reduced power spring is also going to have a harder time picking up another round and chambering it in a dirty chamber. The same is true of trying to reduce your round. It’s at the cost of reliability and a .22LR is finicky enough. Just saying………

My suppressed .22 is safe in my backyard bc I shoot 710fps. The bullets do not penetrate the fence boards and I only take low shots. But even still, I’m going to start using my old Benjamin pellet gun. Matter of fact, I shot a rat this evening in my front driveway during the daytime! WTF! I Used the pellet gun of course. Wasn’t a kill shot bc the rat ran off but it was clearly injured. I truly enjoy shooting rats although it’s concerning that there are rats.

It's usually a good idea to seek suggestions from the experiences of others. OTOH, your situation is so specialized, I don't know that we can help you much. I have a Ruger 22/45 Lite and Ruger 10/22 that're both threaded, but it's been a while since I've shot them much suppressored since I've been running suppressors on bolt action rifle. I've honestly NOT noticed any significant difference in how loud various subsonic loads are. I shoot whatever subsonic ammo is the most accurate in my guns. Generally for informal "target" shooting that would be CCI standard velocity (w/ Norma TAC 22 a close #2); for hunting applications w/ subsonic ammo, I shoot Aguila HP (w/ CCI HP #2). You'll either have to go w/ what you already know or do like someone mentioned and try all the different loads in the target velocity window. Let us know your findings.
