A lot of hypocrisy in the people that claim hunting over food plots isn't "fair." One of the best tactics for hunting is locating the food source and then finding their trail to and from it.
Is it "fair" that in the Mid-US states that hunters hunt the trails leading to and from corn fields? That is their natural food source. To me there isn't much difference between that and some redneck planting a food plot and hunting near it.

The ignorant ideas and attitudes people have about hunting/hunters never cease to amaze me.

Exactly. Do you think the Indians didn't pattern where the deer would be in order to give them an advantage? Do you think they didn't try to conceal themselves to hide from the deer? At what point do you draw the line and say it isn't hunting anymore. I try to take every advantage I can get and guess what, its still hard

Cave men hunted for survival. We hunt for sport with the bonus of getting food.
In that case. Wtf is your point? They were animals then and now, we do with them what we want, out of sport or necessity. The reason means nothing in regard to method.

i would have to say that the line begins with people who put in zero work on the property, show up on opening day, get put in a $3-10k box stand by someone else, and wait for a deer to blast it.

I read up to the first post about shooting defenseless animals. Quit there. I was surprised that it was about halfway down the page.

Same bullshite they always spew. Like the hypocrisy of the people that say hunting deer with dogs isn't real hunting, but then have no problems using dogs to flush quail, chase squirrels, or fetch ducks

The only thing I can add is that I do hunt in the true sense of the word sometimes, and even just sitting in a stand there's still a lot more strategy involved in stand placement and choice than one would think. And when I do decide to sit and hunt over a food plot, I some considers that killing defenseless animals, then I'm a killer, and I'm perfectly alright with that. I've killed plenty of animals for no other reason than just being an easy target. No remorse.

Everyone should have to start hunting there. It should be a requirement to get your hunters safety card.
You don't make it, you can't hunt. Ever.
