Yes, they work well. Only complaint is that even if it's says waterproof, they aren't.

I buy the most popular one off amazon. Petsmart is brand. Works very well. After 2 days dog no longer barks. Even once battery dies, they still don't bark for a long time before they realize they can

Our lab likes the pool so i buy a new one 2-3 times a year for her. The other dog does nothing so I just change the battery since it doesn't get wet.

I prefer spray collars. Not a fan of the "shock" method.

A dog that is always barking is not getting enough socialization and exercise. That's the main problem and this falls back on the dog's owner.

Shock collars work fine...my dog knows when it is on her and won't bark...put her in same situation without it just minutes later and she will bark if she is so inclined...if they are smart they know when the collar is on and will not bark...it is a learned response when the collar is on...they even make dummy tips to put on the collar once the dog adapts to the learned response of what the collar does.
