It is on Old River, which is an Oxbow off of the Mississippi River, but unlike most Oxbows it is still connected to the MS by a swamp. When the MS River gets high (every Spring when the snow melts up North) the MS River overflows into it and the water level shoots up. When there is a lot of snow up North our camp goes under (usually every 6-7 years). We're actually raising it this year.

That's a hell of a bass on Lake Fork. I've got a picture of about a 9 pounder I caught back when I was like 16 but my scanner is screwed.
