I have a 2007 25 hp yamaha outboard 2 stroke. It starts great and will rev up fine but when it has a load on the engine (in drive) the RPM will not come up. did this several days and then one day it was fine then bam started acting up again.

Gas is good I am sure Its a carb problem, any thoughts or ideas for a fix vs taking it to the dealer.

Thanks for any help.

Just pull your carb off and remove the bowl. Then you can get to the jets and clean the bowl out. Probably have some gunk built up on the bottom.
