I shot a buck in Texas that had about 5-6 of those things on its neck. Skinned out just fine and the meat was tasty.

To each his own I guess. I prefer to have my deer meat tumor free. I don't doubt that it may be ok and taste the same. Just the thought of it bothers me though. I also prefer my poon wart free and with little to no odor...but that's just me.
