Anybody use an app to track all their deer data(cam trail pics and time seen, scrapes/rubs, stand locations, etc. I keep a journal but I am looking to go more tech with an app that I can enter all this into...any experiences or suggestions appreciated. I've researched but there are so many versions. I need to be able to enter old info in to the app as well to see movements etc.

GPS Hunt is what I am trying to learn right now. I was using Trimble Navigator and it didnt do everything you asked, Hunt is ther new one geared just to hunting- it use to be Cabelas Hunt.

Are you wanting a map based product or do you want it in database form? I don't know of an app, but I use Excel to build my data and some mapping software to plot it out on imagery. If there is a serious need for something like this, I may look into creating an app with my programming buddy.

I personally use the HuntSoft app and I love it. Been using it to keep track of my place in McCaskill AR and our ranch in Wyoming. Great app and the reports it generates are very useful. Not that I'm going to let a computer tell me where to hunt but it definitely helps

We use ScoutLook. When you log in a deer it records the time, temperature, pressure, moon phase etc. It also has a feature where you can set up a username and password for members in your camp and everyone can upload their info. there so you can't start developing a pattern when the deer move the most. Also, all it takes is one member to go to every stand and set way points and when another member logs on he just reports what stand he is on. Another cool feature I liked was it showed where you were on a map and what direction the wind is blowing and with the mph of the wind how far your scent is blowing.

I use the "hunt predictor" app for peak/low hunting possiblities. I"ve also used the "scoutlook" app for marking things, but I have to use it based on memory because there's not cell service at my place for AT&T. I just recently deleted it because it wasn't worth the trouble.

I don't know whether it's the right app for you, but I use Spyglass app. I'm navigating in the woods with it, even without cell service, it allows to mark waypoints and spots (stands or a car location etc) to find them later. And it also allows to take pictures with all the info on it: gps coordinates, time, azimuth, altitude etc. You can find it here to decide is it the app you are looking for or not
