Decent push mower

I have a small lot. Can anyone recommend a decent push mower for fairly cheap? I'll probably only need it to last a couple of years.

I had a Home Depot Ryobi (spelling) that started each time...my new Homelife or whatever it is does not like to start!

Should I stay away from Wal Mart lawn mowers?

I bought a Toro self-propelled with slide bar accelerator control. It's awesome and by far the best I have ever had. That's a pretty extensive list because by July or August every year I'm freaking tired of fighting the heat and of cutting grass. My mowers then become bulldozers with no fear of obstacles in the yard.

Lasted 6 years.

I think that's where you should buy it from.
First of all, please not that push mowers are very non-OB, only self-propelled and up are allowed.
Second, when I bought my first house I bought a cheap $99 K-mart mower. I couldn't kill that thing. I had it for ten years before finally selling it at a garage sale.

Call me stupid, but I don't know what this means...

Nice! I guess I'll just make sure no matter what I get, it has a good return policy.

As for your question, if you want something cheap AND for only a couple of years, I would definitely go Wal Mart.

I have about 1/8 acre to cut... So, I'm thinking I won't need much.

Parents bought me a Murray when I was 10 or 11 so I could cut neighbors yards (and theirs for free). 15 years later, I still use it to cut my yard. Moral, take care of your shite and it will last.
