I call that duck a dogris as well, but arent they a scaup...not a ringneck, that is what I call a blackjack.

We always called greater/lesser scaup "dos gris" and called ring necked ducks "blackjacks."

I see it now, took a while to load. That female redhead came by itself. We had a drove of 6 ring necks come in and only killed that female. It was me, my two brothers and his two sons. One didn't even shoot. A drove of teal came in and we killed 3 teal and that spoonielove.

I hear there are a lot more ducks in the lake right now. Mostly in the little lake by bird island. (Natty's spot) shhh don't tell him, I want to go hunt his blind.

Yeah I don't know which one either. Have you ever heard of the iron blind? That is where mine was till someone built 40 yards from it. I don't hunt there much so I didn't frick with his blind.

I haven't hunted in my blind (iron blind) in about 2 years. I normally hunt in my dad's blind. Natty's blind is somewhere south of the iron blind. I wish this satellite image would be in the wintertime a couple of days before opening weekend so you can see all the blinds and pouledeau.

If you beat me to my blind and don't wanna get out, you better be prepared to bail out before I light the match.

When I hunt that lake I normally leave very very early to make sure no one beats me to my blind.

you don't have to worry about me

i don't even know where that body of water is located

one thing that pisses me off is people going to blinds on public waterways when they know damn well they didn't do any work to build it....and it pisses me off worse when they're informed the builders want to hunt it, but won't leave

Yes I feel the same way. It is usually a sore subject on message boards. It is a mutual respect that most hunters have. If I hunt someone elses blind, I am willing to pick up my decoys and move. One morning, I went to my blind at 900 and there was a man, his wife, and his kid hunting in it. He was very polite and asked if he was in my blind, I said yes sir. Before I could finish my sentence, he said we are getting out. I told him that he could stay in and enjoy his family time, I could find another place. The surprise on the dude's face was priceless.
I went to a blind not too far away and watched them shoot egrets and rain birds.

classy move

i guess the fact that people hunt a blind they didn't work on does not bother me nearly as bad as them refusing to leave when asked

That first motherfricker's drinking a wine cooler.
Can't say I recognize the other two cute sombitches either, but that island on the right appears to be bird island. They should be coming right up on my blind soon.

AFter some google image research that is Hilton and AJ
