Crawfish on ice

Got 2 sacks in 2 separate ice chest on ice. Got today at noon. Been on ice all day. Plugs pulled and tilted so no water. Do they go dormant like crabs. I poked the sack and a few moved will they be alright in the morning

I have about an inch of ice on the top for the night. Cool outside

Got the lids open so it shouldn't be below freezing.

Make sure your spout is open and the ice chest tilted.

It is. But they seem dormant will they come back like a crab

Keep out of sun and make sure they can get air, even the towel can cut of airflow. Ice underneath should be fine

Them being on ice is fine as long as the drain plug is pulled. They will be become active again when you wash them tomorrow.

Usually wet towels and ice on top of that.
