Mostly getting it in the ground before it gets too hot, and good seed bed prep.

Duck pond wasn’t worked for years and dirt was hard chunky clay.

Takes until May for me to get it dry enough to try to plant any.

Then it’ll dry spell and keep it from having good germination

Then the deer hammer what pops up when it does pop up and it isn’t a thick enough stand to be worth a crap.

Been planting the millet. I’ve had better luck with golden millet.

Jap hasn’t seemed to draw ducks really either

Huh, they use to love that shite when we planted it, we would do that and sorghum. It was a two for one because the dove would tear it up to.
