Idk if it was just where I went, but needed a sack of corn for my back yard feeder and it was 13.50 for a 50lb sack. Is this the going rate for this year? This was the first sack I’ve got this year.

Is it that surprising? The cost of everything is up this year.

8 per lb to fill a barrel. Wild

I don't feed corn at that price. Just feed protein or bran. Or put all that money into nice arse food plots.

Didn’t corn prices go from like $5 to almost $8 from last fall to this fall?

Double is surprising, yes. Inflation is one thing but there’s a lot of companies also using it as an excuse to Jack up prices. Corn is a commodity and I don’t know the price now so it’s a little different.

But there’s a lot of crap that should be up 10-20% and is up 80-100%. Double isn’t inflation, it’s BS when not a commodity.

Actually sold some for $9 picked up and that was going for chicken feed.

Do you have a contract with a company? I know of some rice farmers that were growing a specific variety, like Jasmine or something, for Uncle Ben’s Minute Rice

And that price is with the billions spent on subsidies to the Corn Ag industry.
