1st time I’ve been able to do this. This part was a little shy of 4 acres.

Was pretty windy early and a little rain came through and the wind laid perfectly. Very slight south wind so we decided to do it. Set the fire on the northern most line and let it burn into the wind. Fire breaks had been disced in a couple of weeks ago.

Getting around 10 tons of lime delivered and will get that out and the. Plant this for a dove field in sunflower and either sorghum, millet or wheat.

Love seeing such things. I was a partner is a lease really close to Lake Chuck at the edge of the deep marsh. A good hunt was 2 ducks per hunter, and always hunted with only two hunters in the sole blind.

I finally was able to get a good burn after successive strong fronts had dried the pasture area full of overgrown dead grass. It spread to the neighboring pasture as well. Total about 250 acres.

Then I moved to BR and that teal season my former partner and two friends limited twice daily during teal season. Inch deep water on green pasture was a magnet.

I hope that the same doesn't happen to you

The farm my brother stays on just burned 800 acres, it looks glorious. We am super jealous the same can't happen at the lease.

On another note the burners make a lick for quick work.

I have 40 acres in the bottom on my land that I’ll burn eventually. Im a little ways away though. I have to get breaks in but can’t right now. Lots of ruts and stumps preventing that.

I will though.

We burned 60 acres of pines we had yesterday. Got a little squirrely for a while. Fire jumped the road and burned some of the neighbors.

Hmm. Should probably not post that on a public board.

I use a white lighter fluid bottle and refill it with gas. Makes quick work of stringing fire lines

It wasn't him, it was his "former partner and two friends" see?

Good timing. Yesterday morning was pretty calm up here. Been windy all week and today's storms look like they were headed your way.
