Caught a limit on the beach yesterday on artificial but I think that will be the last time they are on the beach this year. After the full moon the trout will transition into the bays , which a lot of them have already.

Update

Caught 30 to keep 7 in Lake barre this morning, lots of rough boat riding. Sounds like a lot of people struggled today. Coco marina is freaking nice! Way nicer than anything in St. Bernard…

The turnaround is amazing… crowds like I haven’t seen in 15 years, positive reviews etc.., as a camp owner in marina, I’m Nervous about over commercializing but fully committed so just along for the ride!

2 complaints. No parking when the fish are on.

And the launch itself sucks… feet still get wet when picking up the boat.

The amount of money thrown at the place is amazing. New bushwacker machine too. I’ll be trying it out today.

If there is no parking here then there is no parking anywhere this lot is huge! I’ll definitely be hitting that bushwhacker up in a minute!

Any advice on sight fishing reds tomorrow? Thinking about running west to fish the stuff north of hackberry lake.

I’m late, but I like north of barre for sight fishing. Water stays clearer.
