Yep. Terrible season for us...down 60 to 80% from a good year. Nothing using the fields in any numbers.

spend most of my time deer hunting but made a handfull of hunts in Montegut. Luckily we shot well and killed damn near every bird that came in. We had ok hunts but no days where they grays were just piling in like we had in the past. Did kill the first Redheads we've ever seen down there this past weekend.

gray ducks, dogris, blue wing, green wing, bufflehead, and redheads this season

few pics

ETA: numbers wise. I made 6 duck hunts

1. 4 grays, 2 dgoris
2. 5 grays, 1 bluewing
3. 3 grays, 2 bufflehead
4. 2 dogris
5. 1 greenwing (only hunted a few minutes as the water was falling fast)
6. 3 greys, 3 dogris, 2 redhead

ETA2: kind of mindblowing... I didn't see one spoonbill

I've seen a few but nothing like usual for spoonies in SE Arkansas. I guess with it being a slow year most of the usual spoonies that hang around are in the freezer.

This was from Saturday across Decade....gettin that drake mounted so I can look at it in my office as a reminder of the tough seasons...

Still killed in the range of 100 birds hoping wmas and a couple lease hunts, but they were definitley harder to hunt this year. Only limited twice with 18, but mostly 10s, 12s, 7s, a couple 2s and 3s, and 3 scratches. Inconsistant to say the least.

If it's a few families together they are Blanchards. Good people and they usually teal hunt. Didn't know they didn't hunt the regular season

First champignons since september. Had 22 pounds.

How was Lake Boeuf this season? I never went out there.

With the new GatorTail we'd have to go in from Kramer

Went sunday, lots of birds but they are blind weary. Did good opening day and took my boy one day and didn't kill much. Usually steer clear of the lake, ain't what it used to be

No, its not the Blanchards, I'm friends with Clint. I'll ask the wife who it is. I know they usually hunt the ponds during the season.

we actually didn't do too terrible in the lake this year. heard a few people didn't limit out opening weekend, but yep they're blind weary right now. its like they know where to pass to not go to a blind.

Dad found some two weeks ago and we fried them with some sacalait that Sunday. Talk about rollin.

He also killed a nice little buck friday on our property around SC church. Had some shrooms in the deer roast gravy with fresh white beans this past sunday.

I only hunted bouef opening day. Will take my son this saturday later in the morning to let him shoot some decoys with his BB gun and possibly shoot my ole .410 at some coot. Get him ready for next season.

How old is he? My boy is 6 and I bought him that youth model 410 mossberg pump. He loves shooting that thing. I may go Saturday too we can meet up at the camp and take turns running the pouledeau.

It might be our pond you talking about. Is there a wooden bridge by the pond?
